Stop picking snails off the glass by hand.
The Snail Trap is a simple, reusable way to get nuisance snail
populations under control without medicating your tank. Bait the well,
set the trap near known snail activity, and let the one-way funnel do
the work β snails crawl in through the 11mm throat but the geometry
keeps them from finding their way back out.
Details that matter:
- Two-piece design β PETG base chamber with a
central bait well, paired with a PETG funnel lid - 11mm one-way funnel throat β sized for common nuisance
snails (pond, ramshorn, bladder) to enter easily and stay in - 8 vents in the lid β keep water circulating through the trap so it
doesnβt turn into a dead zone overnight - Two retrieval lugs with through-holes β tie a bridle line
through both and secure it outside the tank, so you lift the trap out
without reaching into the water - Slip-fit skirt between base and lid β secure seal, no threading or
twist-lock to fumble with wet hands - Printed in PETG β water-resistant and stable long-term in
aquarium use, unlike PLA
How to use:
1. Drop a small piece of algae wafer, blanched veggie, or other bait
into the baseβs bait well
2. Snap the funnel lid onto the base
3. Tie a bridle line through both retrieval lugs and secure the other
end outside the tank
4. Place the trap on the substrate near known snail activity
5. Leave overnight (or longer for stubborn populations)
6. Lift out by the bridle line and dump the catch
